We are looking for an Accounting Manager with ambition — someone who is wired towards process improvement, runs highly efficient, world class back office systems, and brings real energy to operational ownership. This is a high-impact role that reports directly to the Director of Accounting.

You will own the full cycle expense management function—Accounts Payable, corporate spend, and the dashboards that keep leadership informed. This is a hands-on role — you'll be a part of the team in the work, not above it — and you'll also be expected to step back and tell the story of what the data is showing. You will also be a key contributor to month-end close, driving accuracy and efficiency across GL expense accounts. High-volume task management, sharp reporting instincts, and a bias for process improvement and automation are your superpowers.

This role is a great fit for someone who has hands-on ops experience in a high-growth SaaS and/or remote environment, is energized by ownership and improvement, and is excited to grow with Consensus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in high-growth or remote-first environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AP, expense operations, and corporate card/spend management workflows
• Positioned as team operator and the lead narrator on expense ops — in the weeds one moment, forest-for-the-trees the next.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain operational dashboards and reporting deliverables (AP health, expense ops, GL pulse)
• Strong GL and month-end close experience with direct ownership of reconciliations and journal entries
• Proven ability to manage high-volume, recurring task workflows with precision, consistency, and accountability
• Exceptional organizational and self-management skills
• Comfort exploring AI tools to improve workflow efficiency

Requirements

• People management experience or demonstrated readiness to lead a direct report
• SaaS or enterprise software industry background
• Experience NetSuite or AP/spend tools
• CPA or equivalent designation
• Process builder mentality—you’ve documented SOPs, built runbooks, or led workflow redesigns
