Sodexo's growing Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 3 to support Healthcare Technology Management services at Lowell General Hospital located in Lowell, MA.

The main role/responsibilities of the Biomedical Equipment Technician 3 will be to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, strong technical skills and a commitment to deliver excellent repair service in an expedient manner.

What You'll Do

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment functionality and patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance testing.
  • Provide timely and efficient service while prioritizing urgent repair needs.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment issues and deliver excellent customer support.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to healthcare technology management.

What You Bring

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Prior experience with Philips monitoring systems, anesthesia equipment, defibrillators, and injectors is preferred but not mandatory.
  • The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
