Job Description
Randstad is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist for a temp to hire position in the Alpharetta area. This is an on site role in a business professional setting. The Medical Biller will be responsible for reviewing patient and provider documentation, accurately preparing and submitting medical claims, monitoring claim statuses, correcting rejected or denied claims, and ensuring all billing information is properly documented in the company’s tracking systems. salary: $21 - $22 per hour

Responsibilities
- Review operative reports, fact sheets, insurance information, and supporting documentation for completeness.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, provider information, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and modifiers.
- Prepare and submit clean medical claims electronically or through payer portals.
- Monitor claim acceptance, rejections, denials, and pending statuses.
- Correct billing errors and resubmit claims when necessary.
- Review EOBs and ERAs to determine the appropriate next step.
- Identify claims that are ready for follow-up, open negotiation, escalation, or additional documentation.
- Maintain accurate claim notes and update Smartsheet or other internal tracking systems.
- Communicate with insurance companies, provider offices, and internal departments regarding claim issues.
- Follow HIPAA requirements and maintain the confidentiality of patient and provider information.

- Medical Billing (2 years of experience is required)
- Insurance Verification (2 years of experience is preferred)
- EOBs and ERAs
- Claims Processing (2 years of experience is required)
- Payer Portals/Availity (2 years of experience is preferred)
- Surgery Billing (1 year of experience is preferred)
