Akkodis is seeking Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ(Hybrid). You will be responsible for managing work streams and collaborating with both business and technology stakeholders to solve complex Market Risk technology problems.
Rate Range: $68/hour to $73/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Project Manager job responsibilities include:
Leading work streams and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to address Market Risk Exposure Management challenges.
Proposing technology solutions, facilitating agreement among stakeholders, and managing cost estimation and budget approval processes.
Developing prototypes using Python, SQL, Excel/VBA, and providing data analysis leveraging Big Data platforms like Apache Hadoop.
Managing project life cycles using Agile methodologies, including documentation, development of Epics and Stories, and overseeing UAT activities and releases.
Coordinating with teams to ensure timely resolution of defects, demonstrating new functionalities, and adhering to risk mitigation plans.
Driving process improvement and policy development initiatives impacting market risk technology, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
A degree in Computer Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5-7 years of experience in project management, specifically within Market Risk or Financial Services.
Strong financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the regulatory landscape.
Proficiency in technical skills such as SQL, Excel, VBA, and Python with experience in Agile methodologies.
