$95,000 - $125,000 Base Salary (DOE) + Full Benefits Package

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee field operations, personnel, and project execution throughout the DMV region (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and surrounding areas). This leadership role is responsible for managing Field Technology Specialists, coordinating technology system installations, ensuring successful project delivery, and maintaining operational excellence across multiple active project sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-voltage systems, security technologies, telecommunications, fire alarm systems, or related field services, combined with proven leadership and operational management experience. Candidates with government, military, commercial security, or critical infrastructure experience are highly encouraged to apply.

This position requires approximately 75% regional travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Field Technology Specialists across an assigned geographic region

  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and service projects from planning through completion

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to customer specifications

  • Manage field resources including personnel, vehicles, equipment, inventory, and tools

  • Conduct workforce planning, scheduling, and capacity forecasting

  • Monitor team utilization and establish performance metrics

  • Perform project cost analysis, budgeting, and resource allocation

  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies

  • Coordinate rapid response efforts for critical maintenance and service issues

  • Collaborate with project managers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution

  • Support cross-regional resource sharing and surge staffing initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of field personnel

  • Travel throughout the DMV region to support field operations and customer locations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in communications, electronics, security technologies, telecommunications, or related technical fields will be considered

  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with advanced communications systems, security technologies, electronics, low-voltage systems, or electrical troubleshooting

  • Previous supervisory or management experience leading field-based technical teams

  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed workforce

  • Strong understanding of:

    • CCTV and video surveillance systems

    • Access control systems

    • Intrusion detection systems

    • Fire alarm and fire suppression systems

    • Fiber optics and data networking

    • Low-voltage electrical systems

  • Experience with companies such as ADT, AT&T, Convergint, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Tyco, or similar organizations is highly preferred

  • Government, DoD, DHS, military, or federal contracting experience is a strong plus

  • Active Secret Clearance or other government security clearance is highly preferred

  • PMP Certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications

  • Valid driver's license required
