Integration Specialist MuleSoft / Cloud Integration Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Integration Specialist to lead the design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise integration solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, CloudHub, Java-based microservices, and API-led architecture, with the ability to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions.

This role requires strong collaboration skills, hands-on development experience, and the ability to contribute throughout the full systems development lifecycle.

Key Qualifications Required Technical Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and managing APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and CloudHub.
  • Strong experience using Anypoint Studio for developing, debugging, testing, and deploying Mule applications.
  • Advanced experience with DataWeave for complex data transformation across JSON, XML, CSV, and other formats.
  • Strong programming experience in Java, including object-oriented programming, reusable component design, and performance optimization.
  • Experience building microservices using Spring Boot, including RESTful APIs, dependency injection, and service orchestration.
  • Familiarity with Apache Camel and enterprise integration patterns including routing and mediation.
  • Strong understanding of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development principles.
  • Experience integrating APIs with front-end applications and UI components.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, automation, code quality, and development efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to deliver enterprise API and integration solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
  • Design and implement scalable enterprise integration solutions aligned with architectural standards and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, middleware services, microservices, and supporting integration frameworks.
  • Apply technical expertise to establish and maintain integration standards, development best practices, and governance processes.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, privacy, quality assurance, and compliance requirements, including applicable legislation and governance standards.
  • Create and maintain technical artifacts including architecture diagrams, data models, API specifications, and integration documentation.
  • Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, defect management, and performance optimization across enterprise applications and integrations.
  • Work closely with project managers and leadership teams to provide status updates, risk assessments, and delivery progress reporting.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes and ensure integration deliverables meet enterprise standards and project expectations.

    • System architecture documents
    • Solution design documentation
    • Technology stack documentation
    • User and operational documentation
  • Database schemas, entity relationship diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
  • Test plans, test cases, testing scenarios, and test result documentation.
  • Tracking and resolution documentation for issues, defects, and project risks.
  • Quality assurance oversight for integration deliverables produced by the development team.

Contract Duration: 5 Months

Potential Extension: Additional 5 Months

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model:
Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Mandatory onsite anchor days: Monday and Wednesday, plus one additional floating day.
