Surgical Tech – OR General | Travel Contract Opportunity

Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | 8-Hour Day Shifts

Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Job Summary


"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in a fast-paced Operating Room environment. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong general OR experience and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and surgical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during a variety of surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, drapes, and solutions
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards throughout procedures
• Pass instruments and sterile supplies during surgery
• Assist with retractors, sutures, counts, specimen handling, and surgical dressings
• Prepare and label medications under the direction of the RN and surgeon
• Ensure availability and functionality of case-specific instruments and equipment
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, and transfer to recovery areas
• Support room turnover and restocking between procedures
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Participate in orientation, education, and departmental quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (Civilian or Military)
• Current NBSTSA Certification required
• Current BLS Certification required
• Minimum recent Operating Room experience required
• Strong Orthopedic surgical experience highly preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
