Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Optometric Technician to join this growing team on a per diem or hourly basis. This is a full or part-time, temporary position to cover for a staff member currently on leave, with no confirmed return date. The role is expected to last several months, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on staffing needs.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients in a professional, friendly manner
• Obtain and document patient histories and preliminary testing
• Perform visual acuity testing, tonometry, and other pre-exam procedures
• Operate and maintain optometric equipment
• Assist optometrists during examinations and with procedures as needed
• Manage patient flow and assist with administrative duties as required
• Maintain sterile and organized workspaces
• Support other team members as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations

About the Position:

• Position Type: Full or Part-Time, Temporary (Potential for Permanent)
• Compensation:
• Competitive hourly wage between $22 and $28, based on experience
• Opportunity for the position to become permanent, depending on staffing needs
