Milestone Business Solutions is seeking a full-time, remote HR Generalist to work collaboratively with our internal team and small business clients.

What You'll Do 

You will work with our client companies in a variety of industries and geographies, helping to ensure their HR function operates smoothly, creating positive company cultures, and providing assistance and resources to their teams throughout the employee lifecycle.

A Day in the Life 

• Onboard and offboard team members
• Maintain employee files and process documentation
• Revise and update company handbooks, including first drafts of new policies
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state labor regulations
• Assist with leave management, including FMLA
• Assist with benefits enrollment and inquiries
• Coordinate performance reviews and stay interviews
• Coordinate workplace investigations, preparing reports as needed
• Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system updates 
• Support talent acquisition efforts with resume reviews, phone screens, and reference checks

HR Milestones Under Your Belt 

• A minimum of 3 years of HR experience
• A consulting mindset with excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Understanding of HR processes, best practices, and compliance
• Experience working with multi-state companies/clients is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, SHRM-CP or PHR a plus

**This is a remote position with required travel to the Indianapolis, Indiana area 2 - 3 times per year. Candidates within a reasonable driving distance of Indianapolis are preferred.**
