The Talent Development Manager plays a pivotal role in building organizational capability by designing, delivering, and evaluating programs that accelerate employee growth, leadership readiness, and succession pipelines across the company.
This role partners closely with internal and external stakeholders, including operations and HR leaders, serves as a foundational contributor to initiatives such as the Advancement Institute, and requires developing a deep understanding of CalPortland’s culture through site visits and ongoing employee engagement.
Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, problem–solving, and the ability to navigate change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Education, or related field; master’s degree preferred

Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
