Here at Pain Management Group , we’re searching for a full-time  Physician & Community Liaison  to join our team from the Findlay, Ohio area! The Physician & Community Liaison position is responsible for the successful promotion of several partner pain management programs in Northern Ohio. This position serves as the relational “bridge building” expert within the hospitals and communities to ensure referral growth, referral retention and prevent leakage outside the partner healthcare systems. You will be the primary point of contact for providers, practice managers, office staff and other referral sources for the pain management center to ensure they have a strong awareness and understanding of the pain department and its services, and they navigate all aspects of the provider to pain management center relationship to ensure a positive dynamic.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications/marketing, healthcare or equivalent experience required
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a healthcare sales/marketing environment
  • Proactive leader with a positive outlook & outgoing personality
  • Ability to independently operate at a high level without direct oversight
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with multiple healthcare teams and providers at one time
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 80% regionally

Typical day in the life as a Physician & Community Liaison:

  • Completes face-to-face meetings with providers, practice managers, office staff and other referral resources to ensure that they have an awareness and understanding of each hospital partner’s programs and services, as well as a knowledge of available specialty providers and a thorough understanding of the referral process. This includes building and fostering long-term relationships with referring providers, office staff, referral sources, service line/program leadership and clinical staff.
  • Works with the partner hospital’s marketing staff and physician recruiters to help coordinate new physician and advanced practice provider onboarding
  • Reviews and interprets referral patterns and trends from providers and other referral sources to determine areas of opportunity and growth.
  • Responds in a timely manner to referring provider concerns and seeks appropriate resolutions. Documents both issues and resolutions.
  • Completes call reports and documents each provider/office staff encounter through the appropriate CRM. This includes needs, opportunities and information, and materials provided.
  • Assists with special marketing projects and research as needed to support corporate PMG marketing team initiatives

Additional Duties:

  • Maintains a strong working knowledge and becomes a subject matter expert of the pain management programs and their services.
  • Identifies tactics to promote provider interaction and engagement including new provider orientation, site visits, staff meetings, social events, grand rounds, referral dinners, CMEs and other communication methods.
  • Effectively collaborates with the appropriate service line/program leadership to determine potential referral sources and key physician referral initiatives.
  • Leads initiatives to build volume and favorable provider perceptions among internal and external referral streams.
  • Assists with implementing marketing initiatives in order to educate physicians, other health care providers and community members about each hospital’s pain program services.
  • Participates in the development, execution and evaluation of sales/marketing plans for pain management program.
  • Assists with onboarding new providers and appropriate program staff, as well as educating them on key programs and services within the pain program and PMG.
  • Identifies new potential referral sources and geography opportunities by identifying market needs and reviewing available data.
  • Monitors monthly referral data to determine referral source opportunities and make ongoing recommendations to the service line/program directors.
  • Prepares and presents monthly assessment of sales efforts for PMG Leadership Team. Analyze successes and amend plans as necessary.
  • Manages relationships between primary care providers and specialists.
  • Designs and executes a weekly contact plan with specified goals.
